Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

We can find the answer by comparing the sides of the triangles!

We are trying to find a triangle where the ratios are the same: 4/9 has to equal another fraction.

Triangle D is correct because 12/27=0.4 which is equal to 4/9=0.4

another way we can check is by seeing how much 4 is multiplied to get to twelve and seeing how much 9 is multiplied to get to 27

4*3=9

9*3=27

by this we can confirm the fractions of 4/9 and 12/27 are equal because both 4 and 9 are multiplied by the same number to get to the new fraction numbers.

hope this helps!

Help please!!!!!!!!!
A. (1, -2)
B. (1, 2)
C. (2, -1)
D. Infinite number of solutions
Maru [420]

Answer:

(1, -2) Option A in your list of possible answers

See attached image.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to graph the lines by using a couple of points on the plane for each equation.

For example:

the points (0, -3) and (3, 0) for the line y = x - 3

and the points (0, 1) and (-1, 4) for the line y = - 3 x + 1

Please see the lines in the attached image, and notice that they intersect at the point (1, -2), which gives you the solution for the system.

(4x²-5x+10)+ (6x³+7x²-9x+2)
MAKE THIS IN ALGEBRA TILES NONSENSE ANSWER REPORT
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

6x^3+11x^2-14x+12

Step-by-step explanation:

We just simply add like terms (terms with same power of x):

6x^3+(4x^2+7x^2)+(-5x+-9x)+(2+10)

Like terms are in brackets now

So you just simplify now to give you:

6x^3+11x^2-14x+12

Let P be a predicate. Determine whether or not each of the following implications is true and give a brief English explanation f
den301095 [7]

Answer:

See answer below

Step-by-step explanation:

1), Probably, your implication is ∀x∃yP(x,y)⇒∃x∀yP(x,y).

This implication is false. Consider the predicate P(x,y):="x<y" for real numbers x,y. Then, ∀x∃yP(x,y) is true: for all real x, there exists some y greater than x (take y=x+1 for example). However, ∃x∀yP(x,y) is false, as it would imply that there exists some real number x such that x is smaller than all real numbers, which is not true (real numbers do not have a minimum or a lower bound).

A short explanation would be, even if for all elements you can find one that makes a predicate true, you can not find one element that makes the predicate true for all elements.

2) Again, I assume that the predicate is ∃x∀yP(x,y)⇒∀x∃yP(x,y)

This implication is false. Consider the predicate P(x,y):="x is integer and xy=0 " for real numbers x,y. Then ∃x∀yP(x,y) is true, we need to take x=0. However, ∀x∃yP(x,y) is false, if you take x=1/2, 1/2 will never be an integer, no matter the value of y.

A short explanation would be, even if you can find one element that makes a predicate true for all elements, you can not always take an arbitrary element and find some element that makes the predicate true.

Does anyone know this?!??
kondor19780726 [428]

Indeed!

This is a quadratic equation, and there are several ways to factor this. I will try to explain the way I do it and try to make sense of it.

2x^2-x-15 - Original Equation

Now set up an X(as I cannot draw very well in brainly it will look bad)

1 -3

     \ /

     / \

2 5

This might all look very confusing so let me explain it.

First on the left side of the x, 1*2=2 which is the coefficient of the x^2 term.

The right side, -3*5=-15 which is the constant term.

What I did in the graph thing was to find 2 such pairs that line up in the graph in a way that the opposite corners multiplied and added together would = -1.

Such as the way I lined up the graph.

1*5(one of the diagonals) + 2*-3(the second diagonals)=5-6=-1 the coefficient of the middle term.

As long as you find 2 such pairs you got the answer, just write it from left it right then top to bottom.

The first ( ) would be (1x-3), the second ( ) would be (2x+5)

Now we can always switch the ( ) as in this problem we can write the answer as (x-3)(2x+5) or switch it around as (2x+5)(x-3).

Therefore the answer A is the correct answer.

**If you have any questions about my explanation, simply ask me in the comment section and I will come answer. (I know my explanation here isn't the most clear so you probably will ask questions and please don't just put the answer in and be done with it, actually try to understand my explanation it will help with further questions like this.)
