Here is my work for 562.34-64.89:
\mathtt{\text{ }562.34}\\
\mathtt{\underline{-64.89}}\\
\mathtt{\text{ }497.45}\\
\\
4-9\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}14-9=\mathbf{5}\\
3-8\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}2-8\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}12-8=\mathbf{4}\\
\stackrel{\text{decimal point}}{\downarrow}\\
2-4\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}1-4\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}11-4=\mathbf{7}\\
6-6\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}5-6\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}15-6=\mathbf{9}\\
5\stackrel{\text{rewrite}}{\to}\mathbf{4}\\

Hope that helps!

Best to write this problem as shown below:

<span>562.34
 -64.89
-----------     First, estimate the correct answer.  It would be 562-65 = 497.

Must borrow from the tenths column, because 9 is greater than 4.  We end up with 5 under the 4 and 9.  We must borrow again to obtain the next digit:

12-8=4, so the result is now .45

11-4=7, so the result is now 7.45

55-6=9, so the result is now 97.45.

Finally, 4-0=4, so the final result is 497.45.  Compare this to the estimate (497).

Here we've had to borrow 4 times.</span>

Given tantheta = 4/3 and pi &lt; theta &lt; 3pi/2; find cos2theta
Sidana [21]

Answer:

d. -7/25

Step-by-step explanation:

π<θ<3π/2  in third quadrant

tanθ = 4/3

sinθ = - 4/5

cosθ = - 3/5

cos 2θ = cos²θ - sin²θ = (- 3/5)² - (- 4/5)² = 9/25 - 16/25 = - 7/25

Choose the abbreviation of the postulate or theorem that supports the conclusion that the triangles are congruent.
Ber [7]

Answer:

Option D.

LA Theorem or Postulates

Explanation:

LA theorem or postulates is leg-acute states that if the leg and an acute angle of one right triangle are congruent to the corresponding leg and acute angle of another right triangle, then the triangles are congruent.

In \triangle ACB and  \triangle DFC

\angle C =\angle F = 90^{\circ}             [Given]

\angle B = \angle E   [Acute angle]      [Given]

BC=EF        [Given]

By LA theorems or postulates,

\triangle ACB \cong \triangle DFE

Therefore, LA theorems or postulates support the conclusion that the triangles are congruent.

Jamal spent _ 3 4 of his allowance. On the number line, label the fraction that represents the part that Jamal spent. Explain
Vilka [71]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Fraction of pocket money spent by Jamal = 3/4

The number line is divided into 4 equal parts with distance between successive tick marks representing 1 of the whole = (1/4). Hence, 3/4 of the whole would mean 3 portions of the total 4 portions of the number line represents the amount spent by Jamal.

The fraction spent by Jamal is also labeled on the number line picture in the attached document.
