Answer:

173 children tickets were sold and 201 adult tickets were sold

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of child ticket sold be x

Let the number of adult ticket sold be y

If the total number of ticket sold is 374, hence;

x +y = 374 .... 1

Also if the ticket cost 3$ per child and 5$ per adult with total cost of $1524, this can be expressed as;

3x + 5y = 1524..... 2

Solve both equations simultaneously

From 1; x = 374 - y ...3

Substitute equation 3 into 2

3(374-y)+5y = 1524

1122-3y+5y = 1524

1122+2y = 1524

2y = 1524 - 1122

2y = 402

y = 402/2

y = 201

Since x = 374-7

x = 374 - 201

x = 173

Hence 173 children tickets were sold and 201 adult tickets were sold

1)Because if u add 8+4 which is 12 and u just leave the x with the 12 which is 12x which is ur answer.

2)if you multiply 4 and 2x or 4•2x which is 8x and you if u multiply 4 and 1 which is 4 and you are left with 8x+4 which is 12x.

Find the product of z1 and z2, where z1 = 2(cos 70° + i sin 70°) and z2 = 4(cos 200° + i sin 200°)
vazorg [7]

Answer:

-8i

Step-by-step explanation:

To multiply numbers is polar form

z1 = r1 ( cos theta 1 + i sin theta 1)

z2 = r2 ( cos theta 2 + i sin theta 2)

z1*z2 = r1*r2 (cos (theta1+theta2) + i sin (theta1+theta2)

z1 = 2(cos 70° + i sin 70°)

z2 = 4(cos 200+ i sin 200)

z1z2 = 2*4 (cos (70+200) + i sin (70+200)

z1z2 = 8 (cos(270) + i sin (270))

       = 8 (0 + i (-1))

       =-8i
