Answer: Option A) How many codons make up a typical mRNA molecule?

Explanation:

A messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule is a class of RNA molecules, each of which is complimentary to one strand of DNA. It carries the genetic information of genes from the chromosomes to the ribosomes where the information is translated into the amino acid sequence of a polypeptide.

Thus, the codons on a typical mRNA molecule differs from the DNA template strand by the presence of URACIL (U) instead of thymine (T).

What organelle does the mRNA strand go to so protein synthesis can start?
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

The mRNA strands go to the cytoplasm to meet ribosomes so protein synthesis can start.

Explanation:

In protein synthesis, the first step is to synthesize messenger RNA, mRNA. The coping process of the DNA section for the desired protein is called transcription, and it happens in the nucleus. After that, it occurs translation, when the formed mRNA moves to the cytoplasm through the nucleus membrane pores. Protein synthesis is initiated in the cytoplasm when mRNA meets a free ribosome, the primary structure for protein synthesis. Ribosomes are made of protein and ribosomal RNA and can be found in the rough endoplasmic reticulum or floating in the cytosol. They read the mRNA code and add the correct amino acid using transference RNA to build the protein. mARN has a start and end codon that tells where to start and stop adding amino acids. When the ribosome reaches the end codon, it means that protein synthesis is finished. The new protein is driven to the rough endoplasmic reticulum and translocated to the lumen. Once there, the protein suffers a few modifications, one of them is folding to become functional. Finally, protein is transported by vesicles to the Golgi complex, and from there to its final destiny.

Naily [24]

Answer:

d. tissue

Explanation:

There are several levels of organization of life which starts from the functional unit of life called cell.Cells are made of a combination of macromolecules that consist of atoms. Several cells associate together to perform one or more specific functions at the tissue level. The tissue level is made up of similar cells that carry out similar task or functions. The robot’s cardiac cells that work together in synchrony could be considered at the tissue level.

irina [24]
The biome that has infertile soil, principally oxisols, to which the vegetation has roots systems that capture nutrients from litter decay, is the tropical rainforest.

Soil types are highly variable in the tropics and are the result of a combination of several elements or variables which includes climate, vegetation, topographic position, parent material and also the soil age. Most of the tropical soils are described by leaching and poor nutrients. It also has two classifications: namely the ultisols and oxisols. Ultisols are known as well-weathered, acidic red clays soils. They are deficient primarily in major nutrients such as potassium and calcium. Oxisols are also an acidic type of tropical soil. However, they are well drained compared to the ultisols.
