Answer:

L = Henry

C = Farad

Explanation:

The electrical parameter represented as L is the inductance whose unit is Henry(H).

The electrical parameter represented as C is the inductance whose unit is Farad

Resonance frequency occurs when the applied period force is equal to the natural frequency of the system upon which the force acts :

To obtain :

At resonance, Inductive reactance = capacitive reactance

Equate the inductive and capacitive reactance

Inductive reactance(Xl) = 2πFL

Capacitive Reactance(Xc) = 1/2πFC

Inductive reactance(Xl) = Capacitive Reactance(Xc)

2πFL = 1/2πFC

Multiplying both sides by F

F * 2πFL = F * 1/2πFC

2πF²L = 1/2πC

Isolating F²

F² = 1/2πC2πL

F² = 1/4π²LC

Take the square root of both sides to make F the subject

F = √1 / √4π²LC

F = 1 /2π√LC

Hence, the proof.

A plate clutch is used to connect a motor shaft running at 1500rpm to shaft 1. The motor is rated at 4 hp. Using a service facto
vazorg [7]

Answer:

(M_t)_{rated}=61.11lb-in

Explanation:

speed of motor (N)=1500 rpm

power=4 hp = 4 \times 0.7457 =2.9828 KW

service factor(k)= 2.75

now,

KW=\frac{2\pi n M_t}{60 \times 10^6} \\2.9828=\frac{2\pi \times 1500 M_t}{60 \times 10^6}\\M_t=\frac{2.9828\times 60 \times 10^6}{2\pi \times 1500 }

M_t= 18,989.09 \ N-mm= 168.06 lb-in

torque rating

(M_t)_{design}=k_s\times (M_t)_{rated}\\168.06= 2.75\times (M_t)_{rated}\\(M_t)_{rated}=\frac{168.06}{2.75} \\(M_t)_{rated}=61.11lb-in

Consider a thermal energy reservoir at 1500 K that can supply heat at a rate of 150,000 kJ/h. Determine the exergy of this suppl
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

33.4KW

Explanation:

Firstly, we calculate the power index in a reversible heat engine which is given as;

n = 1 - T1/T2

T1 = atmospheric temperature 298k

T2 = reservoir temperature 1500k

n = 1 - 298/1500

n = 0.8013

output energy = n × energy input

0.8013×150000 = 120195KJ/hr

Power output = 120195KJ/hr/3600 = 33.4KW

Answer:

See attachments for step by step explanation towards getting answer.

Explanation:

Given that;

College Engineering 10+5 pts

When -iron is subjected to an atmosphere of hydrogen gas, the concentration of hydrogen in the iron, CH (in weight percent), is a function of hydrogen pressure, (in MPa), and absolute pH2temperature (T) according to(5.14)Furthermore, the values of D0 and Qd for this diffusion system are 1.4  10-7 m2/s and 13,400 J/mol, respectively. Consider a thin iron membrane 1 mm thick that is at 250C. Compute the diffusion flux through this membrane if the hydrogen pressure on one side of the membrane is 0.15 MPa (1.48 atm), and on the other side 7.5 MPa (74 atm).

What ways are people and their communities impacted by wildfire?
skelet666 [1.2K]

Explanation:

Aren't these all correct? I mean all of these are possibilities, except for the first one and the 5th one. I'll explain them all :)

1) Destruction of wildlife habitat

This doesn't really affect people. Mainly the animals living in the wild, because their homes would get burnt down, or ruined so they need to find a new place to live.

2) Timber Industry Losses

Wildfires can lower job rates in the timber industry, which can leave people struggling, looking for a new job.

3) Transportation Shutdowns

For example, things like trains might not be able to work.

You know those large railroads that are getting held up? Those could get burnt down, or unstable, which could lead to many injuries and preventions to get somewhere.

4) Houses Burned or Damaged

This is probably one of the most well known issues of wildfire.

Because of this, a bunch of citizens might not be able to live anywhere if their home gets burned down. Some people are lucky and have family nearby they can live with, but others don't, forced to live on the streets.

5) Loss of Tourism

This issue really only effects specific people.

Only people who really have any sort of relationship with touring would feel threatened by these changes.

6) Health Problems from Breathing Smoke

Yes, this is a huge issue.

Inhaling harmful smoke can inflame your lungs and airway, causing them to swell and block oxygen. This can lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome and respiratory failure.

7) Loss of places of employment

Just like number 2, this could leave people stranded with nowhere to go. Some might have to become homeless if they can't pay rent, or buy groceries.

8) Town Buildings Burned or Damaged

Think about it-- How would you feel if your town building got burnt down? It would be a huge deal, and will take months; maybe years to rebuild.

I have no clue if I did this the way you wanted, but- here. xd
