The resultant vector can be solve using the pythagorean theorem
c^2 = a^2 + b^2
where c is the resultant vector
a and b are her individual trip

c^2 = 30^2 + 18^2
c^2 = 1224
c = 35 miles

angle = arctan ( 30 /18)
angle = 59 degrees
so the resultant vector is 35 miles 59 degrees south of east

Answer:

The resultant vector is 35 miles.

Explanation:

Given that,

Monica took a train 30 miles south to Cincinnati. Then she took a different train 18 miles east.

A = 30 miles

B = 18 miles

According to figure,

We calculate the resultant vector

R^2=A^2+B^2

R =\sqrt{30^2+18^2}

R=34.98

R = 35\ miles

Hence, The resultant vector is 35 miles.

Astronaut Rob leaves Earth in a spaceship at a speed of 0.960c relative to an observer on Earth. Rob's destination is a star sys
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

A) 15.0 years

Explanation:

Due to the distance to the star system is in light-year units, we can compute the time by using:

t=\frac{d}{v}=\frac{14.4 l-y}{0.960}=15l-y

then, Rob will take to complete the trip about 15 light-years.

hope this helps!!

Which circuit offers the greater resistance to the battery, two bulbs in series or two bulbs in parallel?
dolphi86 [110]

The resistance of two things in series is the SUM of their individual resistances. So the resistance of two bulbs in series is double the resistance of one bulb.

(If they're in parallel, their combined resistance is 1/2 the resistance of one bulb.)

So two bulbs in series is the greater resistance. (a)
