Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I think it is a ratio problem since the sides and trapezoid are congruent

It appears to be simplier than I thought. Each NEW base decreases EVERY equal step up by the SAME amount

The difference between the the bottom base and middle base is 3.5

21 - 17.5 = 3.5

The difference between the middle base and the top base is the same 3.5 so

17.5 - 3.5 = 14 is the length of the top base 3x + 2

so 3x + 2 = 14

3x = 14 - 2

3x = 12

x = 4 FINAL ANSWER

James has $360 in his savings account. If he decides to save $90 every month, which of these best describes how many months it w
anygoal [31]
This problem can be easily solved using algebra.
Since James wants to know how many months he will have $810, we need to simplify it in an equation.
Let x = number of months
$360 + $90x = $810
We transfer $360 to the other side and reverse operation
$90x = $810 - $360
Now it is simplified to this
$90x = $450
n order to find the value of x, we divide 90 to both sides
$90x/90 = $450/90
…and arrive at the answer.
X = 5
Therefore, it will take 5 months for James to save in order to get $810 in his bank account.

nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number of cars Ms. Owens has is 15.

The number of cars left after Ms. Cook took some were 11.

The number of cars taken by Ms. Cook will be the difference of the total number of cars and the number of cars left. So,

15-11=4

Hence, the number of cars taken by Ms. Cook were 4.
