Find the midpoint of a and b when a has coordinates (-5,3) and b has coordinates (3,-1)
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

The midpoint is (2 , 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the midpoint, we have to add the corresponding coordinates

[(-5 , 3) + (3 , -1)] / 2

we separate into the corresponding

(-5 + 3) / 2 =

-2 / 2 = -1

(3 - 1) / 2 =

2 / 2 = 1

The midpoint is (2 , 1)

Which polynomial does the model represent?
Maurinko [17]
Ive never seen a question lie this before
Since the first figure is a square I guess it stand for x^2
then we have -2x + 3x   = x ( the 2 stets of rectangles)
and finally -3 + 1 = - 2
So i am presuming its x^2 + x - 2
Option b

Im not sure though

what is the difference between the mean and the median of the following distribution? {1,1,1,2,2,2,2,3,3,4,4,4,4,5,5,6,7,7,8,8,9
iren2701 [21]

The given distribution =

1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9

To find mean, we have to add the given numbers and divide it by the total number of terms given.

Here 21 total numbers given.

Mean = (1+1+1+2+2+2+2+3+3+4+4+4+4+5+5+6+7+7+8+8+9) /21

= (88)/21 = 4.19 (Approximate upto two decimal place)

Median is the middle value of the distribution.

1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9

There are 21 numbers given. So middle value is the number in the 11th position.

The number in the 11th position is 4.

So, the median of the distribution = 4

We have to find the difference between mean and median here. To find the difference we have to subtract mean and median.

Therefore, the required difference = 4.19 - 4 = 0.19

0.19 is the required answer here.

So, option b is correct.

Use synthetic division to find the quotient of (44 + 22 − 4 + 12) ÷ ( + 2). Show your work for full credit.
valina [46]
Just remember BODMAS, which B= brackets O= Order D= Division M= Multiply A=Addition and S=Subtract

So first you solve the brackets so 44+22 is 66

So 66-4+12 so 66-4 is 62

62+12 is 74

So now you have got 74 divided by 2 which is 37

Hope this helps xx
