Answer:

find gradient/slope

-8-(-5) / -2-(-1) = -3/-1

= 3

y=3x+c

perpendicular line formula

m1(m2)= -1

(sub in the gradient before)

3(m2)= -1

m2= -1/3 ( perpendicular line gradient)

y=-1/3x+c

(sub in the coordinate)

-5=-1/3(-3/2)+c

-5=1/2+c

-11/2=c (y intercept)

answer: y= -1/3x - 11/2

The ratio of men to women enrolled in Math for Elementary Teachers at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis is 1 to
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

31 men are enrolled

Step-by-step explanation:

1 to 5

Divide 186 by 6. Then you would get 31 since that is the unit rate.

To check, multiply 31 by 5 and you would get 155, add 155 with 31, you would get 186. I don't really know how to explain it but thats my answer.

21. In a parallelogram, opposite angles are equal and adjacent angles are supplementary (add to 180°).
  m∠R = m∠P = 180° -m∠Q
  m∠Q = 107°
  m∠P = 73°

25. If you draw any diagonal, it divides the figure into two congruent triangles (by the SSS postulate). Corresponding angles are congruent, so the diagonal is a transversal between parallel lines. Thus opposite sides are parallel and the figure is a parallelogram.

27. Opposite sides are equal, and the diagonals bisect each other. Your four equations are
  2w+4 = 5w-6 . . . . w = 10/3
  12 = 3x-3 . . . . . . . x = 5
  6y = 4y+6 . . . . . . . y = 3
  27 = (5/4)z +2 . . . z = 20
