An easy way to start a graph is by <u>finding two points for the slope</u>, and then a <u>single point for the intercepts</u>.

The two points I'll use are (0, 80) and (1, 120)<em> (Keep in mind, you can use any two points, they'll all give you the rame ratio)</em>.

<u>Use the slope equation:</u>

b = \frac{(y_2-y_1)}{(x_2-x_1)} \\b=\frac{(120-80)}{(1-0)} \\b=\frac{40}{1} \\b=40

<u>Now that we have our slope, we can use one of the points (I'll just use (0, 80)) to create the equation.</u>

y-y_1=b(x-x_1)\\y-80=40(x-0)\\y-80=40x\\y=40x+80

So your final equation is y=40x+80.

* To solve for that second question, just plug in 10 for x and you should get the cost!

You put the highest exponent power first, then you go down until you reach a regular number (a number with a variable goes before a normal number)

Answer:

(-6, -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The coordinate is at (2, -1), when using a dilation with a scale factor of 3, multiply the coordinates by 3.

(2, -1) ------> (2 x 3, -1 x 3) ----------> (6, -3)

When reflecting the point over the y-axis, take the opposite of the x coordinate.

(6, -3) ------> (-6, -3)

<u>Geometry</u>

  • Surface Area of a Sphere: SA = 4πr²
  • Diameter: d = 2r

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

SA = 23 in²

<u>Step 2: Find </u><em><u>r</u></em>

  1. Substitute [SAS]:                    23 in² = 4πr²
  2. Isolate <em>r </em>term:                         23 in²/(4π) = r²
  3. Isolate <em>r</em>:                                  √[23 in²/(4π)] = r
  4. Rewrite:                                   r = √[23 in²/(4π)]
  5. Evaluate:                                 r = 1.35288 in

<u>Step 3: Find </u><em><u>d</u></em>

  1. Substitute [D]:                    d = 2(1.35288 in)
  2. Multiply:                              d = 2.70576 in
  3. Round:                                d ≈ 3 in
