1. False; Pouring water on burning grease or oil will not extinguish the fire. It will only cause the burning oil to splash, spreading the grease fire around.

2. False; Pounding a person on the back does nothing more then knock what little air they may have inside of them out and lodge whatever they're choking on deeper.
