If you have n letters, you start with n!. Then you divide by k! for each distinct set of k letters.

This is purely mechanical. E.g., if you have

DEFGHIJKLMNOP

there are 25 letters, and groups of 5 4 and 3

The answer is 25! / (5! 4! 3!). See, all you need to do is count the letters and then count how many times any letters are repeated. Then you can just write down the answer.

Once you know that, these problems are really, really easy.
