Yu and Elena each bought between 7 and 9 yards of ribbon. Yu
Mumz [18]

Given: Yu, Nailah, and Elena each bought between 7 and 9 yards of ribbon  Yu bought 3 pieces of ribbon. Nailah bought 5 pieces of ribbon. Elena bought 6 pieces of ribbon.

To find: Who can buy which ribbon

Solution:

Ribbon Sizes

1 2/3 = 5/3  yard

4/5  yard

3 1/2  = 7/2 Yard

Yu, Nailah, and Elena each bought between 7 and 9 yards of ribbon

Yu bought 3 pieces of ribbon

=> 3 * 5/3  = 5

  3 * 4/5  = 2.4

  3 * 7/2   = 10.5

Nailah  bought 5 pieces of ribbon

=> 5 * 5/3  = 8.33

   5 * 4/5  =  4

   5 * 7 /2   = 17.5

Elena bought 6 pieces of ribbon

=> 6 * 5/3  = 10

  6 * 4/5  = 4.8

  6 * 7 /2   = 21

Only value between 7 & 9 is 5 * 5/3  = 8.33

hence Nailah only can buy 1 2/3 = 5/3  yard ribbon

or there is some mistake in the data

Erin is taking part in a play at the community theater. The cast and crew ordered T-shirts for all the volunteers. The cost of a
kumpel [21]
Well what you would do is you would first subtract 45 from 325 (325-45) and that would become 280. Then you would divide that number by 8 (the cost of the T-shirt)(280/8) and then your answer would be 35. So the maximum number of T-shirts she will be able to buy is 38. Hope this will help you!

Find the distance between the points E(3, 7) and F(6, 5). The exact distance between the two points is .
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

\sqrt{13}

Step-by-step explanation:

The trick here is to know the distance formula (a formula that helps you find the distance between two points).

Distance formula: distance = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

But now that we know this, we can simply plug in our values and solve!

\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\\\sqrt{(6-3)^2+(5-7)^2}\\\sqrt{(3)^2+(-2)^2}\\\sqrt{9+4}\\\sqrt{13}

Now we can tell from our answer that the distance between both points is \sqrt{13}
