A large department store is prepared to buy 3,800 of your tie-dye shower curtains per month for $5 each, but only 3,600 shower c
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

q= -40p+c

q= -40p+4,000

Step-by-step explanation:

$5 each for 3800 tye-dye shower curtains

$10 each for 3600 tye-dye shower curtains

Slope of the demand line is

3800-3600/5-10

=200/-5

= -40

Demand function is

q= -40p + c

Where c is a constant

For q=3800 and p=$5

Demand function is

q= -40p + c

3800= -40(5)+c

3800= -200+c

c=3800+200

c=4,000

Linear demand function is

q= -40p+4,000

Every year after a new car is
slavikrds [6]

Answer: The value of the car after 3 years is $5,333.333

And no, the relationship is not linear, is an exponential decay.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that every year, the car loses 1/3 of its value.

So if the initial value of the car is V.

After one year, the new value of the car will be:

Value (1 year) = V - (1/3)*V = (2/3)*V

After another year, the value will be:

Value (2 years) = (2/3)*V - (1/3)*(2/3)*V = V*(2/3)^2

Ok, we already can see that this is an exponential decay.

(So no, this is not a linear relationship).

The value equation as a function of the number of years will be:

Value(N) = V*(2/3)^N

Then if the initial cost of a car is $18,000, and we want to know its value after 3 years, we need to replace V by $18,000 and N by 3 in the above equation:

Value(3) = $18,000*(2/3)^3 = $5,333.333

Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KatRina [158]
Hello!

For this you can plug in the x values in the choices and see if you get the y value

y = -4^{3}  - (-4)

-4^3 is -64

when you subtract a negative you are just adding

-64 + 4 = 60

Then you do the second one

y =  -3^{3}  - (-3)

-3^3 is -27

-27 + 3 is -24

Then the third one

y =  -2^{3}  - (-2)

-2^3 is -8

-8 + 2 is -6

Then the last one

y =  -1^{3}  - (-1)

-1^3 is -1

-1 + 1 = 0

Since we did not get -2 the answer is D

Hope this Helps!
