#10. Sam: (4, 2); Theater: (-3, 5) #11. Sam is 3 km south and 7 km east of the theater. #12. (-3, -4) #13. (-3, 0.5) #14. T (0.75, -1.0); U (0.75, 1.25); V (-0.75, 1.25) #15. W(-0.75, -1.0) #16. Janine is describing points that lie on the y-axis. Ordered pairs that lie on the x-axis have a y-coordinate of 0. The origin lies on the x- and y-axis. Any other point with an x-coordinate of 0 lies on the y-axis such as (0, 3).

Assume each figure shown has the same orientation. Which figure is the image of square LMNP after a translation of (x, y) → (x +
creativ13 [48]

Answer-

Figure 4 is the image of square LMNP after a translation of (x, y) → (x + 5, y – 3)

Solution-

The co-ordinates of the vertices are,

L = (-3, 1)

M = (-1, 1)

N = (-1, -1)

P = (-3, -1)

A translation of (x, y) → (x + 5, y – 3) means, the point must be shifted 5 units right and then 3 units down.

After the transformation the new co-ordinates will be,

L = (-3+5, 1-3) = (2, -2)

M = (-1+5, 1-3) = (4, -2)

N = (-1+5, -1-3) = (4, -4)

P = (-3+5, -1-3) = (2, -4)

These are the co-ordinates of the figure no. 4

У - (-3y)

Iam confused on how to do this
jeyben [28]

Answer:

The answer is 4y.

Step-by-step explanation:

First you would solve the parentheses, which would be -1(-3y) which would equal positive 3y, and y+3y=4y. I apologize if I misunderstood the problem ^^

It takes 19 minutes to get from Yermin’s house to the beach. If she has traveled for 5 minutes already, how many more minutes wi
Bezzdna [24]

it will be 14 more minuted because she has completed 5/19 minutes it takes to reach the beach.. we can get this answer by taking the total number of minuted to get to the beach (19) and subtract the number of minutes she has already walked (5)..... our answer is that she has 14 minutes left till she reaches the beach.

Population A and Population B both have a mean height of 70.0 inches with an SD of 6.0. A random sample of 50 people is picked f
Alex

Answer:

Sample mean from population A has probably more accurate estimate of its population mean than the sample mean from population B.

Step-by-step explanation:

To yield a more accurate estimate of the population mean, margin of error should be minimized.

margin of error (ME) of the mean can be calculated using the formula

ME=\frac{z*s}{\sqrt{N} } where

 • z is the corresponding statistic in the given confidence level(z-score or t-score)
 • s is the standard deviation of the sample (or of the population if it is known)
 • N is the sample size

for a given confidence level, and the same standard deviation, as the sample size increases, margin of error decreases.

Thus, random sample of 50 people from population A, has smaller margin of error than the sample of 20 people from population B.

Therefore, sample mean from population A has probably more accurate estimate of its population mean than the sample mean from population B.
