Thomas Hobbes left influence on political thought. He believed people were naturally selfish and evil. He also believed people should have equal rights and no one should have more power over anyone else.
The South had seceeded from the Union to form the Confederacy. They considered themselves an independent nation, and, therefore, did not follow the laws and amendments passed by the Union. In 1965, however, the Union won the war, thus ending the existence of the Confederacy.

Therefore to tackle the issue, the Babylonians had options of obtaining natural resources through wars and other intensive trading activities. They consequently received precious metals from Asia and gold from countries like Egypt that had textiles wool and oil.
