Can you find the mean or median of a set of data from a histogram? Explain
kotykmax [81]
The mean can be revealed by looking at the ranges of numbers. You need exact numbers to find a mean.

Median is just to middle. Hopefully you can find the middle bar.

Mason and Nora decided to swim across the river. Mason began swimming 1 minute earlier than Nora.
Mademuasel [1]
Mason:

time = t
V =  6 ft/s
Distance = v * t = 6t

Nora:

time = t - 60 [ I passed 1 minute to seconds]
V = 8 ft/s
Dsitance = v*t = 8 (t - 60)

Both distance are equal

6t = 8(t-60)
6t = 8t - 480
8t -6t = 480
2t = 480
t = 480/2
t = 240 s

Mason had been swimming for 240 seconds when both had swan the same distance.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Soooo, by looking at the picture we can tell that it is a right trapezoid

The formula for the area is

(b1+b2)/2*h

(Base 1+ Base 2)/ 2 * height

Now we can plug in the numbers:

(5+15)/2*6

20/2*6

10*6

=60
