Water flows at 2 feet per second through a pipe with a diameter of 8 inches. A cylindrical tank with a diameter of 15 feet and a

height of 6 feet collects the water. What is the exact volume, in cubic inches, of water flowing out of the pipe every second? Leave your answer in terms of π.

Answer:

384\pi (in^{3} )

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this you just have to remember the formula for volume of a circular prism and it is:

r^{2} *Height*\pi

The radius of the pipe is 4 inches, and the water is flowing at 2 feet per second, that would be height, we know that 2 feet are 24 inches so we now just insert the values we have into the formula:

r^{2} *Height*\pi\\4^{2} *24*\pi\\16*24*\pi \\384\pi

So the volume of water flowing through the pipe and into the tank every second is 384\pi (in^{3} )

Help on both of these pls<br> also sry the lighting is weird
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The 2 angles form a right angle, thus their sum is 90°, hence

4x + 7 + 35 = 90

4x + 42 = 90 ( subtract 42 from both sides )

4x = 48 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 12

To calculate the slope m use the slope formula

m = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / ( x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, 0) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (1, 4) ← 2 points on the line

m = \frac{4-0}{1-0} = \frac{4}{1} = 4
