rosijanka [135]

With his parents, Joel was employing the door-in-the-face compliance technique.

A compliance tactic that is frequently researched in social psychology is the door-in-the-face approach. The persuader makes a sizable request that the respondent will probably reject in an effort to get them to agree, kind of like metaphorically slamming a door in the persuader's face.

In the door-in-the-face method, compliance is improved by making an incredibly difficult request first, followed by a target request that is genuinely wanted.

An illustration of this would be if you refused a friend's request to borrow an excessive amount of money, only for them to later ask for a lower amount and receive your approval. The door-in-the-face tactic is frequently employed to get individuals to make a financial contribution.

Personality is an abstract term used to describe and give a theoretical explanation of an individual's set of peculiarities that characterize and differentiate him from others.

Based on this, we can conclude that the longstanding traits and patterns that drive individuals to think, feel and behave consistently in specific ways are known as Personality.

Answer:Humanistic psychology

Explanation:

Humanistic psychology, is a field of Psychology that support the idea that each human as an individual is different and must be treated and recognised in that way. This psychology opposes the focus on comparing one's behaviour as caused by what is commonly known such as impact of their childhood on their behavior because everyone is unique what affects the most in their childhood may not affect everyone, hence it focuses on human needs that may cause stress such as a need for love
