  2. Dashed lines: Dashed lines are used to show atoms and bonds that go into the page, behind the plane, away from you. That is this line shows that the outside atom is farther from us than the central atom.
  3. Wedged lines: Wedged lines show bonds and atoms that come out of the page, in front of the plane, toward you. It  shows that the outside atom is closer to us than the central atom.
