To anyone who's confused the answer is what that other person said (aka -2 and 9).

9-2=7 and 9*-2=-18

The zeros of a function are found by factoring.  We need to find 2 numbers that add up to 7 and multiply to -18.  -2 and +9 work here.  9 - 2 = 7 and 9 * -2 = -18.  So the zeros (aka roots and solutions) are x = -2 and x = 9
