Answer:

£11.43

Step-by-step explanation:

£2.65x2=£5.12

£1.15×3=£3.45

£5.12+£3.45=£8.75

£20.00-£8.75=£11.43

The mistake was in the first line of your answer, you multiplied by 3 instead of 2.

Answer: It said 2 chickens, not 3.

Also, when you got your final answer, you have to subtract it from 20, because you want to find the change.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is the mistakes I saw, and I mentioned them above. :)

Given the following roots build a polynomial function in standard form: -3 and +2
swat32

Answer:

 f(x) = x² +x -6

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form will look like ...

 f(x) = x² +bx +c

where b is the opposite of the sum of the roots, and c is their product.

 f(x) = x² -(-3+2)x +(-3)(2)

 f(x) = x² +x -6

_____

Additional comment

In general, "standard form" is ax²+bx+c. In this case, the coefficient 'a' can be 1 since neither of the roots is expressed as a fraction. The sum of roots is (-b/a) and the product of roots is (c/a).

Find all of the points on the x-axis which are 6 units from the point (−1, 1).
anyanavicka [17]
All the points that are 6 units from (-1, 1) are those on the circle
 (x+1)^2 +(y-1)^2 = 36

For y=0, the two points of interest satisfy
 (x+1)^2 +1 = 36
 (x+1)^2 = 35 . . . . . . subtract 1
 x+1 = ±√35
 x = -1±√35

The points you seek are (-1-√35, 0) and (-1+√35, 0), about (-6.916, 0) and (4.916, 0).

Q # 4 Simplify the product
timama [110]
For this case we have the following product:
(x-4) (x + 3)

We must use the distributive property correctly to solve the problem.
We have then:
x ^ 2 + 3x - 4x - 12

Then, we must add similar terms.
We have then:
x ^ 2 - x - 12

Answer:

The final product is given by:

x ^ 2 - x - 12
