If we say that because she bought her materials now she has -50 then she needs to make 215+50=$265 265/17=15,5 so she needs to sell 15
But if we dont take into account that she paid $50 beforehand then 215/17=12,6 so she has to sell 13 poems. Hope it helps

Is this ordered pair a solution to the inequality?
(1, 3)
5x+y<-3
A.)No
B.)Yes
max2010maxim [7]
(1,3) means that x = 1 and y = 3. Let's make substitutions to see what happens with the inequality

5*x + y < -3
5*1 + y < -3 ... replace x with 1
5*1 + 3 < -3 ... replace y with 3
5 + 3 < -3
8 < -3

This is false. The number 8 is NOT smaller than -3.

So (1,3) is NOT a solution
