Characteristics of iodine deficiency-Neck swelling, issues with thyroid. S/S-Wt gain, fatigue, alopecia, dry skin, arrhythmia, trouble regulating internal temperature. Prevention-Diet rich in iodine such as seafood, yogurt and eggs.

Characteristics of vitamin A deficiency-integumentary issues. S/S-Trouble conceiving, dry skin, delayed growth and poor wound healing.  prevention-Diet rich in Vit A such as meats, dairy and eggs. Vitamin supplement would also be beneficial.

Characteristics of iron deficiency (Anemia)- Low red blood cell count. S/S-Weak, pale skin, cold extremities, HA (headaches), dizziness, arrhythmias. Prevention-iron rich foods such as meats, leafy greens, dried fruit and seafood.
