How to calculate delta S surroundings? calculate Delta S(surr) at the indicated temperature for a reaction having each of the fo
astraxan [27]
You can use the equation ΔS(surr)=q(surr)/T or ΔS(surr)=-q(rxn)/T.
the two equations are equal since we know that the energy the system (reactoin) puts out just goes into the surroundings.
(In other words q(surr)=-q(rxn))

Using the equation, ΔS(surr)=-(-283kJ/298K)=0.9497kJ/K or 949.7J/K

This answer makes sense since the reaction is exothermic which means it released energy into the system which usually causes the entropy to increase.

I hope that helps.

Iron is a solid, grey metal. Oxygen is a colorless gas. When iron and oxygen chemically combine , rust is made. Rust has a reddi
Phoenix [80]
Because the formation of rust is a kind of chemistry reaction.
After chemistry reaction, compound with new properties is produced.
Of course, color is one of the new properties.
For example, if you put iron in colorless acid solution, a green solution is made.
This kind of chemisty reaction differs from physical reaction, for example, pigment with one color dissolves in liquid, a liquid with same color is made.

Which statement describes a scientific law?
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

A law is a proven fact that can not be changed.

Explanation:

Scienctists are most inquisitive in their research and as such they developed what is called scientific method which they use to create and learn new things. The scientific method includes:

1. Observation.

2. Hypothesis.

3. Experiment

4. Conclusion.

5. Law.

Among this scientific method, the law is the last in the pattern. A law is only given after the experiment has been tested over and over again and found to be true.
