I feel like some shows romanticize teen pregnancies too much. None of the kids are old enough to be a good parent and in real life the baby will most likely not have a father. Another possibility is them ending up homeless. Shows for not show the seriousness of teen pregnancy.

I believe Media and Reality TV has had a HUGE impact on teen pregnancy. Shows like 16 and pregnant show the tough reality’s of being a young mom, but most of the time, they make it seem cool. With YT having dozens of “Life of a Teen Mom!” videos, it puts the idea in young girl’s head that this is the life they should be having, and to let go of their childhood quickly.
