The appliance store sells sells it at a better rate because if 250$ is for 5 lamps then it's $50 per lamp but if it's $95 than one lamp is $47.50.

The eurasian plate travels the slowest, at about 0.7 cm/y. How long would it take the plate to travel 3 cm?
damaskus [11]
Simply divide 3 by 0.7,

3 \div 0.7 =  \frac{30}{7}  = 4 \frac{2}{7}

Or ≈ 4.28571 which is ≈ 4 years.

Which expressions are equivalent to 7 (negative three-fourths x minus 3)? Select two options.
polet [3.4K]

<em><u>The equivalent expressions are:</u></em>

7(-\frac{3}{4}x - 3) = (7 \times \frac{-3}{4}x) + (7 \times -3)\\\\7(-\frac{3}{4}x - 3) = \frac{-21x}{4} - 21

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>Given expression is:</u></em>

7(-\frac{3}{4}x - 3)

We have to find the equivalent expressions

By distributive property,

a(b + c) = ab + ac

Therefore,

7(-\frac{3}{4}x - 3) = (7 \times \frac{-3}{4}x) + (7 \times -3)\\\\7(-\frac{3}{4}x - 3) = \frac{-21x}{4} - 21

Thus equivalent expressions are found
