In the Amazons, plants and trees are provided with more nutrients and they tend to grow much better.

Explanation:

In the African Savanas, there is mostly dry lands, so it’s harder to find a source of water for the plants and trees. But in the Amazon, there is plenty of nutrients and there are many water resources for the plants to use. So, the climates in the Amazon are much greater and keep the plants growing tall, than in the African savanna.
