Please help me with circle questions below
IRINA_888 [86]

For first question, What is approximate value of "......" this part is missing so please write whose approximate value question is asking to find

For second question we have to find tan\Theta

In right triangle ABC as show in attachment,

tan\Theta = \frac{opposite side}{adjacent side} = \frac{AB}{BC}----(1)

Now AB is given by distance of point A from x axis which will be given by its y - coordinate. So AB = \frac{1}{2}

Similarly BC is the distance of point A from y axis (horizontal distance ) and that will be given by x coordinate of A. So BC = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

Plug these values in equation (1)

tan\Theta = \frac{AB}{BC} = \frac{\frac{1}{2}}{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}

To divide fractions we flip (reciprocal ) bottom fraction and multiply it to top fraction as shown

tan\Theta = \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{2}{\sqrt{3}}

Now 2 in top and bottom cancels out so we are left with

tan\Theta = \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}

so thats the final answer for tan\Theta

Solve y-4=3x+5y for y
Inga [223]
<h3><u>The value of y is equal to (-4 - 3x)/4.</u></h3>

Because there are two variables and only one equation, we cannot solve for the exact value of y.

However, we can still get a value of y.

y - 4 = 3x + 5y

Subtract y from both sides.

-4 = 3x + 4y

Subtract 3x from both sides.

-4 - 3x = 4y

Divide all terms by 4.

(-4 - 3x)/4 = y
