Prompt
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

I agree, I have come to many situations where I am not sure what to say. It always comes down to two paths and only one will be right, the first path is truth, it may be a hard path where you need a lot of willpower, but it is the right path, the second path is lie, this path may look so simple, but this path is a dark path where you can't see or know what is going to happen next. It may look easy but not everything is what it seems.

How did Cairo’s status as a trade city help increase interconnectedness across Afroeurasia?
Stells [14]

Answer:

Cairo increased interconnectedness because it helped traders to bring products from Africa and India and further East to Europe.  These traders could also return with European goods and thus far away regions started becoming more interconnected.

Explanation:

Cairo was a very important city in Afroeurasia and it was a center for trade. In the 14th and 15th centuries, merchants and traders would come to the city by land and sea and it was a center of the Islamic world. Cairo was connected to the Indian Ocean through the Nile, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. This was the most important trade route from Europe at the time. The Bubonic Plague was also said to have traveled along this same route as it crippled Cairo and Europe's major port cities.

Psychologist John Garcia conditioned rats to have a taste aversion to sweet-tasting water by injecting them with a drug that mad
Nitella [24]

Answer:

Taste aversion to sweet-tasting water.

Explanation:

Conditioning learning is an style of learning where a conditioned stimulus is associated with an unconditioned stimulus and they produce a conditioned behavioral response.

In this learning, at first, the <u>unconditioned stimulus produces the unconditional response (</u>and this means that a stimulus produces a response in a natural way), <u>then the unconditioned stimulus is paired with the conditioned stimulus that does not produce the response on its own </u>but once it's paired with the unconditioned stimulus and <u>after some repetitions, the response is produce in presence of the unconditioned stimulus and it is called now conditioned response.</u>

In this case, the drug would be the unconditioned stimulus that produces the response of getting ill (by itself), this response it's the unconditioned response. However, John Garcia paired this stimulus with the sweet-tasting-water (conditioned stimulus) and now the rats have an aversion to this type of water.

This aversion would be the Conditioned response since it was not originally present in presence of the water but it was paired with it after some repetitions and by the fact that it made the rats ill.
