You have to find how many kids are in eighth grade so you would multiply 34x6 and get 204 then you decide that by 1/4 and you get 51

Y = -9x - 2; (4, -37)
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

B. No the ordered pair does not satisfy the equation

Step-by-step explanation:

y = -9x - 2

Substitute the point in and see if it is true

-37 = -9(4) -2

-37 = -36 -2

-37 = -38

This is not true so the point is not a solution

ch4aika [34]

Answer:

1. \frac{5}{6}

3. \frac{7}{0} (undefined slope)

5. -\frac{7}{4}

7. 24

Step-by-step explanation:

slope (m)

rate of change (r)

1. m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{8-3}{13-7} =\frac{5}{6}

3. m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{4-(-3)}{9-9} =\frac{7}{0} (undefined slope)

5. m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{-1-6}{0-(-4)} =\frac{-7}{4}=-\frac{7}{4}

7. r = \frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}=\frac{24-0}{1-0}=\frac{24}{1}=24

Hope this helps!
