Answer:

C: tan 60 = √3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the adjacent part of the triangle be x and let the opposite side be y.

Thus, from trigonometric ratios;

x/10 = cos 60

We are given cos 60 = ½

Thus;

x/10 = ½

x = ½ × 10

x = 5

Similarly;

y/10 = sin 60

Now,from trigonometric relationship we know that; sin 60 = cos 30. Thus;

y/10 = cos 30

We are given cos 30 = (√3)/2

Thus;

y/10 = (√3)/2

y = 10 × (√3)/2

y = 5√3

Since it is a right angle triangle with one angle being 60°, it means the other one is 30° since sum of angles in a triangle is 180°.

Thus;

5/(5√3) = tan 30°

1/√3 = tan 30

Similarly;

5/10 = sin 60°

sin 60° = ½

Also;

tan 60 = (5√3)/5

tan 60 = √3

Also;

sin 30 = 5/10

sin 30 = ½

Looking at the options, the only correct one is Option C

What is the solution to the equation?

14g=154
irinina [24]

Answer:

g = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

14g = 154

You have 14g. 14g means 14 times g. You want g alone. To get 14 alone, since g is being multiplied by 14, you must do the opposite operation. The opposite of multiplying by 14 is dividing by 14. The rule with equations is that you must do the same operation to both sides. Divide both sides by 14.

14g/14 = 154/14

g = 11

How to do this plastic help
liraira [26]

Answer:

39 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

  • by seeing the diagram in the attachment, we can see that the angles UWV and VWX are on straight line or, their sum makes 180 degrees.
  • we also know that sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees.

by using the first statement,

UWV + VWX = 180

UWV + 6x-3 = 180

UWV = 180+3-6x

         = 183-6x

by using second statement,

UWV+WVU+VUW=180

substituting the values,

183-6x+2x+5+x+13=180

201-3x=180

substracting 180 from both sides,

21=3x

dividing both the sides by 3,

7=x

the angle VWX=6x-3

substituting 7=x,

VWX=6(7)-3= 39.
