Answer:

7a) m=2x

7b) m=-3/4x

8)m=-5x

9) m=1/10x

10) 1/4x

Step-by-step explanation: So first what you want to do is take two points from your graph that you see that your line is on.

for example, on a), you would take lets say (3,2) and (0,-4)

*tip! if your X and Y intercepts are whole numbers it will be best to use them but if not, any two points will work.

so then you would first take your y coordinates of each point and plug it into the equation, \frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2-x^1} .

so lets break it down!

so lets first take our y coordinates, (3,2) and (0,-4) and plug them into the equations

\frac{-4-2}{x^2-x^1}

so then lets subtract! -4 -2 gives us -6. so the numerator is -6.

lets now plug in our x values (3,2) and (0,-4)

\frac{-6}{0-3}

after we do the subtraction, we get -3 as our denominator.

so we are left with -6/-3. so -6/-3 gives us a slope of 2.

therefore you have Y=2x+b

Hopes this helps :)!

Answer:

The arrangement of the given equation in the slope - intercept form are

  1. y=-x+4
  2. y=2x-5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

x + y = 4 and

y - 2x = -5

Slope - intercept form :

y=mx+c

Where,

m is the slope of the line.

c is the y-intercept.

When two points are given say ( x1 , y1 )  and ( x2 , y2)  we can remove slope by

Slope,

m=\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}- x_{1}}

Intercepts: Where the line cut X axis called X- intercept and where cut Y axis is called Y- intercept.

So, the Slope -intercept form of

x + y = 4   is  y=-x+4

and

y - 2x = -5 is  y=2x-5

At first we know that parallel line cut transversal lines. They make them in a proportion.

h/10 = 9/13

h = 10 × 9/13

h = 90/13

h = 6.92
