If A ⊂ B, then which of the following describes the relationship between A and B?
Amanda [17]

A set is a well-defined collection of objects. Each object in a set is called an element of the set. Two sets are equal if they have exactly the same elements in them.

A set is a subset of another set if all elements of the set are elements of the set . In other words, the set is contained inside the set . The subset relationship is denoted as A ⊂ B .The relationship of one set being a subset of another is also called inclusion or we can say Set B may have more elements than A does.

Option 4 .Set B may have more elements than A does is the right answer.

The rectangle below has an area of x² – 6x – 7 square meters and a width of 3 – 7 meters.
natta225 [31]

Answer:

The expression which represent the length of the rectangle is x + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The Area of rectangle = x² - 6 x - 7 square meters

The width of the rectangle = w = x - 7 meters

Let The length of rectangle = L meters

Now, According to question

∵ Area of Rectangle = Length × width

or, x² - 6 x - 7 meters² = L meters × w meters

or, x² - 6 x - 7 = L × (x - 7)

or, x² - 7 x + x - 7 = L × (x - 7)

or, x (x - 7) + 1 (x - 7) = L × (x - 7)

or, (x - 7) (x + 1) = L × (x - 7)

∴ L = \frac{(x - 7)\times (x + 1)}{(x - 7)}

I,e L = x + 1

So, The length of rectangle = L = x + 1

Hence,The expression which represent the length of the rectangle is x + 1 Answer
