Carlota has 3/4 ton of mulch she is going to divide evenly among 5 flower beds. How much mulch will each flower bed contain? Ple
Murljashka [212]
The first thing to do is to turn 5 into a fraction.
5 = 5/1

Now it is just a simple fractional division question:
3/4 / 5/1

With fractional division, all you do is switch around the fraction that is on the right and turn the divide sign into a multiplication sign:
3/4 X 1/5

Now you simply multiply the numerators together, and the denominators together:
3 X 1 = 3
4 X 5 = 20

3/20.

Each flower bed will contain 3/20 of a ton of mulch.

Answer:

The two complex numbers that make the equation true are 1 + i  and 3 + 2i

(1 + i) + (3 + 2i) = 4 + 3i

Step-by-step explanation:

(1 + i) + (3 + 2i)

Combine the real and imaginary parts in numbers 1 + i and 3 + 2i

1 + 3 + (1 + 2)i

Add 1 to 3. Add 1 to 2.

4 + 3i

The two complex numbers that make the equation true are 1 + i  and 3 + 2i

How is a net useful when finding the surface area of prisms and pyramids?
Sladkaya [172]
I believe it is because with a net you simply find the area, and measuring 2D shapes is far easier than 3D shapes.
Hope this helped!

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!!!
julsineya [31]

Answer:

The answer to your question is A) x = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that f(x) = 2x + 3 and g(x) = -x + 6

But   f(x) = g(x)

Then,                          2x + 3 = - x + 6

                                   2x + x = 6 - 3

                                         3x = 3

                                          x = 3/3

                                          x = 1

The solution is circle in the graph below.

Which graph has a slope of ? A coordinate plane with a straight line. The line starts at (negative 5, negative 4) and passes thr
VikaD [51]

Answer:

slope of the first line: 1

slope of the second line: 0.778

slope of the third line: 0.375

slope of the fourth line: 1.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), the slope of a line is computed as follows:

slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

Therefore,

slope of the first line: [5 - (-4)]/[4 - (-5)] = 1

slope of the second line: [5 - (-2)]/[4 - (-5)] = 0.778

slope of the third line: [2 - (-1)]/[3 - (-5)] =  0.375

slope of the fourth line: [5 - (-5)]/[4 - (-4)] = 1.25
