Use the domain {-1, 0, 1, 2, 3} and plot the points on the graph that would best satisfy the equation. The bold grid marks represent one unit, the horizontal red line represents the x-axis while the vertical red line represents the y-axis.

Answer:

Plot the following points on the graph

(-1, \frac{1}{2}), (0, 1), (1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 8)

Step-by-step explanation:

If the equation for the line is y = 2^{x}, whatever the power/exponent  "x" equals, then y is equal to however many times 2 is multiplied by x.

For example, if our domain is {-1, 0, 1 , 2, 3}

then we would plug in each x value into the exponent to find the y-value in order to plot the points to solve the problem.

If x = -1, then y = 1/2. **If there is an a negative exponent it would get turned into a positive fraction with the denominator as the positive version of that number.

y = 2^{-1}  = \frac{1}{2^{1} } = \frac{1}{2}

If x = 0, then y = 1

**When the exponent is 0, the number automatically equals 1.

If x = 1, then y = 2.

If x = 2, then y = 4

If x = 3, then y = 8

So you would plot the following coordinates on the graph:

(-1, \frac{1}{2})

(0, 1)

(1, 2)

(2, 4)

(3, 8)

The perimeter of a triangle is 42 yards. The first side is 5 yards less than the second side, and the third side is 2 yards less
Maru [420]
Let the second side be equal to x Then the first side is x-5 The third side will be x-5-2 = x-7 Therefore you add all the following sides and equate it to 42 yards. Ie x+x+5+x-7 = 42 3x=44 X= 44/3 Therefore the second sides length is 44/3 The first sides length is 44/3 -5 = 29/3 The third side is 44/3 -7 = 23/3

In calm water, the motorboat of Jana is moving at the speed of 16.5km/h. On a river, because of the current, the boat moves fast
ki77a [65]

Answer: 707 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

let c = speed of current

16.5 + c = speed of sailboat downstream

16.5 - c = speed of sailboat upstream

distance = travel time * speed

﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋

2(16.5 + c) = 5(16.5 - c)

33 + 2c = 82.5 - 5c

7c = 49.5

c = 7.07 km/h
