Answer:

Personification

Explanation:

The gun “bucking” is personification, as it does not have the same first letter as other words in the phrase (alliteration) and it does not use like or as (simile), nor is it a figure of speech. The fire “licking” from the end of the gun is also personification.

Make a hyperbole related to thanksgiving.
slava [35]
Hi there!
Thank you for posting your question on Brainly!

So, to put it simply, a hyperbole is a statement, but it’s not supposed to be taken literal. It’s an exaggeration. And you want one for thanksgiving... so it could be something like:

“The thanksgiving feast at my house was so big, it could’ve fed an army.”

Now we know that this person didn’t have enough food at that feast to feed an actual army, but from this hyperbole, we know that there was a lot of food at this feast.

Have a nice night and please contact me with any questions!

Select the correct text in the passage.
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

spent with her, I try to think with less bitterness of this act of injustice. She possessed but few slaves; and at her death those were all distributed among her relatives. Five of them were my grandmother's children, and had shared the same milk that nourished her mother's children. Notwithstanding my grandmother's long and faithful service to her owners, not one of her children escaped the auction block.
