Answer:

is this percy jackson and the lightning theif if so the here are some events

Explanation:

1.They camp out in the middle of the woods where kids like to have parties.

2.They decide to take turns keeping watch through the night. Percy takes the first watch

3. Grover can't sleep. All of the litter and the pollution makes him sad: "This is a terrible time to be a satyr"

4.Grover tells Percy that it's his life's dream to find Pan. He tells Percy about Pan:

"The God of Wild Places disappeared two thousand years ago […] A sailor off the coast of Ephesos heard a mysterious voice crying out from the shore, 'Tell them that the great god Pan has died!' When humans heard the news, they believed it. They've been pillaging Pan's kingdom ever since. But for the satyrs, Pan was our lord and master. He protected us and the wild places of the earth. We refuse to believe that he died."

5.Annabeth realized that there is something weird about this quest: all of the monsters seem to be holding back a bit

6.Percy confesses to Grover that he's only on this trip so that he can get his mom back from Hades, not because he cares about the master bolt or because he cares about helping his dad

Hope this helps!

What are pros and cons of propaganda
tino4ka555 [31]
There's not really any pros for propaganda because essentially what you are doing is lying to get someone to believe something. I guess you could say a pro is that gullible people will believe you, but that's an unethical pro. The cons are that it usually causes much controversy in a society where there's not supposed to be a bias in the government. Propaganda in its true form is never a good thing. It is unethical in the sense that it takes advantage of people who are too lazy to do research and quick to believe what someone tells them. One example I like to use is many of these independent "news" websites. On both ends of the political spectrum, left and right, you find websites that have articles so heavily weighed down with that wings propaganda that true news becomes less and less visible. Occupy Democrats is one textbook example of that. Their articles are so left leaning that you read an article and are immediately left with a left leaning impression. Same goes for a lot of right wing websites. I'm not going to say "always" but propaganda 99.9 percent of the time is not good. Instead of people doing their own research to decide their view on something, propaganda tells people what they should think versus the asking people what they think

Cognitive dissonance is the state of an individual where he or she develops conflicting beliefs, attitudes or behavior. When an individual's belief starts clashing with the new facts, they tend to resolve the contradiction to reduces their discomfort. For example, when people start to eat more junk food or adapt to an unhealthy lifestyle (behavior) and it leads to obesity( cognition), they are in a state of cognitive dissonance.

As per the question, Alan knows that drinking is harmful but still gives reason to justify it therefore he is in a state of cognitive dissonance.
