Annita, Gary, and Tara all run races. Annita has 7 less than 4 times the number of race medals as Tara. Gary has 13 more than 2
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

4 t - 7  = 2 t+ 13  is the required equation.

The number of race medals Tara has is t = 20 medals.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of medals Tara has = t medals

So, the number of medal Anita has  = 4( Medals of Tara) - 7

= 4t - 7

And the number of medals Gary has = 2 times (Medals of Tara) + 13

= 2(t)  + 13  = 2t + 13

Now, Annita and Gary has same number of medals.

⇒  4t - 7  = 2t+ 13

or, 4t - 2t  = 7 + 13

⇒ 2t  = 20

⇒ t = 20/2 = 10

or t = 10

Hence, the number of race medals Tara has is t = 20 medals

When renting a limo for prom, the number of people varies inversely with the cost per person. Originally there were 4 people and
ioda

Answer:The new cost per person= $19 when there are 12 people

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1

Let Number of people be rep as N

And Cost per person = C

such that the relationship of  number of people which varies inversely with the cost per person is given as

N∝ 1/C

Introducing constant of proportionality, k, we have that

N= K/C

such that when there were 4 people the cost per person was $57, K would be

N= K/C

4 = K /57

k= 57 X 4

k=228

Step 2

Therefore If the number of people changed to 12, cost per person would be

N= K/C

12= 228 / C

C= 228/12

C= 19

The new cost per person= $19 when there are 12 people

Any help towards finding out Part B and C would be greatly appreciated!
Alika [10]
Part B: I think the relation that has the greater value when x=6 is f(x) = 7x - 15 because:

7(6) - 15 = 27 which is greater than the output of 14.

Part C: the value of x would be 3 because:

f(x) = 7x - 15
6 = 7x - 15
+ 15 +15
21 = 7x
3 = x

Sorry if any of this is wrong.
