10. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2: M = 34 g mol-1) is a powerful oxidising agent that is used in concentrated solution in rocket fuel

systems and in dilute solution as in hair bleach. An aqueous solution of H2O2 is 30 % by mass and has a density of 1.11 g cm-3. Express the concentration of the solution in terms of: (i) Molality

Answer:

The molality of solution=12.605 m

Explanation:

We are given that

Molar mass of Hydrogen peroxide, M=34 g/mol

Density of solution, \rho=1.11gcm^{-3}

30% Means mass of solute (Hydrogen peroxide)=30 g

Mass of solvent =100-30=70 g

Total mass of solution, m=100 g

Number of moles of solute=\frac{given\;mass}{molar\;mass}

Using the formula

Number of moles of hydrogen peroxide=\frac{30}{34}

Now, molality of solution

m=\frac{number\;of\;moles\;of\;solute}{mass\;of\;solvent}\times 1000

m=\frac{30}{70\times 34}\times 1000

m=12.605 m

Hence, the molality of solution=12.605 m

A 35.66g sample of copper is heated using 600j of energy. if the original temperature of the copper is 85C what is its final tem
ira [324]

This problem is providing the mass, energy, initial temperature and specific heat of a sample of copper that is required to calculate the final temperature.

Thus, we recall the general heat equation:

Q=mC(T_f-T_i)\\

Which has to be solved for the final temperature, T_f as follows:

T_f=T_i+\frac{Q}{mC}

Finally, we plug in the numbers to obtain:

T_f=85\°C+\frac{600J}{35.66g*0.38\frac{J}{g\°C} } \\\\T_f=129.3\°C

However, this result is not given in the choices.

I need an example of a chemical change involving water.Pleaseeee.
slava [35]
Chemical change occur when two substances are combined and produces a new substance or decomposes into two or more substances which are entirely different from the original two substances.

There are three types of chemical changes. These are 1) Inorganic Changes, 2) Organic Changes, and 3) Biochemical Changes

Here are some examples of chemicsal changes.

If you combine Sodium and Water, chemical changes causes decomposition into Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrogen.

Sodium + Water  ==>  Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrogen

Na + H2O ====>  NaOH and H

Another example of chemical change is:

Carbon Dioxide and Water will decompose into Sugar and Oxygen

Carbon Dioxide + Water ==> Sugar and Oxygen

CO2 + H2O ==> CnH2nOn (where n is between 3 and 7) and O
