Answer:

y = 1/2x - 7

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b

m (slope) = 1/2

x = 4

y = -5

<em>substitute</em>

-5 = 1/2 * 4 + b

-5 = 2 + b

-5 -2 = b

-7 = b

y = mx + b

y = 1/2x -7

Hello there!

Let's \ first \ rearrange \ the \ equation! \\ \\ (     2/10-(4/a-3)=0 ) \\ \\ we \ first \ simply \ simplify \ first \ \boxed{ \frac{4}{a} } \\ \\   \left[\begin{array}{ccc}\  \left[\begin{array}{ccc}\boxed{ \frac{2}{10}-( \frac{4}{a})-3)=0} \end{array}\right] \end{array}\right]  \\ \\ We \ then \ subtract \ its \ whole \ numbers. \\ \\ \boxed{3= \frac{3}{1} = \frac{3*a}{a} } \\ \\

\Longrightarrow   \left[\begin{array}{ccc}2/10-(4-3a)/a=\boxed{0}\end{array}\right]  \\ \\ we \ then \ simplify \ \boxed{1/5 \\ \\ 1/5-(4-3a)/a=0} \\ \\ \\ \boxed{\boxed{ \frac{a-((4-3a)*5}{5a} = \frac{16a-20}{5a} }} \\ \\  we \ then \ pull \ out \ some \ like \ terms . \\ \\   16a - 20  =   4 * (4a - 5) \\ \\  solve \  4   =  0 \ ; solve \ 4a-5 = 0 . \\ \\ &#10;&#10;\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow\Downarrow

Write the equation of a line parallel to the line y=5x+2 that goes through the point (-4, 3).
almond37 [142]

Answer:

a line parallel to the line y = 5x + 2 ---> y' = 5x + b (b ≠ 2)

y' = 5x + b goes through (-4, 3) ---> 3 = 5 × ( -4 ) + b ---> b = 23

⇒ y' = 5x + 23

Please help i need to redo
Alexeev081 [22]

#1:

A)

you need to know where a vertex goes on a isosceles triangle...

I attached a picture that explains it.....

you also want to label triangle.... XYZ

I put a picture on of how you should of labeled the triangle...

B)

so we need to find Measure for each angle.... REMEMBER: A triangle angles needs to = 180.

so your equations will need to be equal to 180.

4x+4+2x+2+7x-8=180

so we combine liked terms

4x+2x+7x=13x

4+2-8=-2

13x-2=180

+2 +2

13x=182

/13 /13

x=14

now you plug in X

4(14)+4= 60

2(14)+2= 30

7(14)-8= 90

now you want to check you answers so add them up to see if your answers equal 180...

60+30+90=180

to be continued.... i do second question on a second answer since i dont want pictures to get mixed up

What’s 5n+7=21 it’s a two step equation
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:

n = 2.8

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to solve the equation 5n+7 =21 to find the value of n.

Adding -7 on both sides

5n +7 -7 = 21 -7

5n = 14

Dividing both sides by 5

5n/5 = 14/5

n = 14/5

n = 2.8
