AB is the melting point of the substance. It takes time for the molecules to gain enough kinetic energy to change from solid to liquid state. BC is when the substance is in liquid form, the temperature gradually rises until it reaches it's boiling point

Changes of phase are happening. solid to liquid (melting) or liquid to vapour (boiling). most phase changes take place at constant temperature, and the term "latent heat" is often used to describe how something can be put over a bunsen burner and have heat going into it, but its temp doesn't rise. No but it is melting or it is boiling depending on what it is.

What is the resistance of a 1.3 m copper wire ( = 1.7 10-8 m) that has a cross-sectional area of 8.36 10-6 m2?
Scilla [17]
The resistance of a piece of wire is given by
R= \frac{\rho L}{A}
where
\rho is the material resistivity
L is the length of the wire
A is its cross-sectional area

Substituting the data given by the problem, we can find the value of the resistance of the wire:
R= \frac{\rho L}{A}= \frac{(1.7 \cdot 10^{-8} m)(1.3 m)}{(8.36 \cdot 10^{-6} m^2)}=2.6 \cdot 10^{-3}\Omega

Most restaurants serve suggested serving sizes for one person.
sweet-ann [11.9K]
I'm not really sure what you are asking. I will try though. The main serving sizes as you know are:
1.Small
2.Medium
3.Large
To me, it depends on the person that is ordering the food, and what size they want it to come in. I hope that helped.
