4.2 -3.5/0.7+2.4

 order of operations, do division first

-3.5/0.7 = -5

now you have:

4.2-5 +2.4

 now just add/subtract from left to right

4.2-5 = -0.8 + 2.4 = 1.6

Answer is B

What postulate or theorem can be used to justify that triangle CZB = triangle CXA? B.ASA C.SSA D.AAS
BaLLatris [955]
To justify that triangle CZB = triangle <span>CXA</span><span>, we have to use the AAS</span> congruence theorem.

If two angles and a non-included side of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding angles and side of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.

Which of the following inequalities best represents the graph above?
Helga [31]
The last answer would be correct because a closed cicle on a number line is less than/greater than or equal to and an open circle is less than or greater than. Because you are going to the left, into negatives, your answer would be d.a\geq 9

A cylindrical, wooden table top has a density of 0.42 g cm 3 and a mass of 0.25 kg.
Volgvan

The radius of the table top, rounded to 1 dp is 5.6 cm

From the question,

We are to determine the radius of the table top

First, we will determine the volume of the cylindrical wooden table

From the given information

Density = 0.42 g/cm³

Mass = 0.25 kg = 250 g

Using the formula

Volume = \frac{Mass}{Density}

∴ Volume = \frac{250}{0.42}

Volume = 595.238 cm³

Now, for the radius of the table top

Using the formula for volume of a cylinder

V = \pi r^{2}h

Where V is the volume

r is the radius

and h is the height or depth

From the given information

h = 6cm

Putting the parameters into the formula

595.238 = \pi r^{2} \times 6

∴ r^{2} = \frac{595.238}{6\pi }

r^{2} =31.57835667

r =\sqrt{31.57835667}

r = 5.6 cm

Hence, the radius of the table top, rounded to 1 dp is 5.6 cm

.<br> What is the surface area of this figure? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

282.7 in²

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of the surface area of cylinder is "2 times round areas + the height × circumference"

Round area = radius² × π

Circumference = diameter × π

In this case, the surface area is  2×5²×π + 4×10×π ≅ 282.743334

Nearest tenth is 282.7

What is the equation of a hyperbola with a = 1 and c = 9? Assume that the transverse axis is horizontal.
yanalaym [24]
A=1 , c=9

y²/a²-x²/b²=1

c²=a²+b²

b²=c²-a²

b²= 9²-1²

b²=8

y²/1²-x²/8=1

y²- x²/8=1 is the equation of hyperbola.
