The pillars and the pyramids in the stadium gate means that we have to calculate the area of the items that make up the gate one after the other. At the end of the calculation, the calculated areas are then added up.

The total cost of painting is Rs.21344

First, we calculate the area of 1 side of 1 pillar using:

A = Height * Base

Where

Height = 10ft --- Height of the pillar

Base = 3ft --- Base of the pillar

So:

A = 10ft * 3ft

A = 30ft^2

The area of the 4 sides of the pillar is:

A_2 = 4 * A --- i.e. 4 multiplied by the area of 1 side

A_2 = 4 * 30ft^2

A_2 = 120ft^2

The area of the 2 pillars is:

Area_1 = 2 * A_2 --- i.e. 2 multiplied by the area if 1

Area_1 = 2 * 120ft^2

Area_1 = 240ft^2

Because one part of the pyramid won't be visible, we calculate the area of the pyramid using:

Area = lw + l\sqrt{(w/2)^2 + h^2} + w\sqrt{(l/2)^2 + h^2}

Where:

h = 2 -- the height

l = w = 3 --- the base of the pillar is the length and width of the pyramid.

So, we have:

Area = 3\sqrt{(2/2)^2 + 2^2} + 3\sqrt{(2/2)^2 + 2^2}

Area = 3\sqrt{1 + 4} + 3\sqrt{1 + 4}

Area = 3\sqrt{5} + 3\sqrt{5}

Area = 6\sqrt{5}

For the two pyramids, the area is:

Area_2 = 2 * 6\sqrt 5 -- 2 multiplied by area of 1

Area_2 = 12\sqrt 5

Area_2 = 26.8

So, the total area to be painted is:

Total = Area_1 + Area_2 --- the sum of the area of the pillars and the pyramids

Total = 240+26.8

Total = 266.8ft^2

The unit cost of paint is:

Rate = Rs80 per sq.ft

The total cost of painting is:

Cost = 80 * 266.8

Cost = Rs.21344

Use the appropriate normal distribution to approximate the resulting binomial distributions. A convenience store owner claims th
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

0.9256

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a convenience store owner claims that 55% of the people buying from her store, on a certain day of the week, buy coffee during their visit

Let X be the number of customers who buy from her store, on a certain day of the week, buy coffee during their visit

X is Binomial (35, 0.55)

since each customer is independent of the other and there are two outcomes.

By approximation to normal we find that both np and nq are >5.

So X can be approximated to normal with mean = np = 19.25

and std dev = \sqrt{npq} \\=2.943

Required probability = prob that fewer than 24 customers in the sample buy coffee during their visit on that certain day of the week

= P(X (after effecting continuity correction)

= 0.9256

Please help with this one

Ok this inequality tells you the number of devices you can have before the new plan costs more than the old plan. The new plan expression is $4.50x + $94m =  y ( total cost). The old plan is $175m = y (total cost). You can see m (number of months) in both equations, you don't need it this time since we're going to to compare both to one month. Since they're both equal to y you can make them equal to each other. $4.50x + $94 = $175. Now you want to figure when the new plan is less than the old plan you switch the equal sign for a less than sign. $4.50x + $94 < $175; this will help you find the inequality you want. From there just use algebraic steps to find that x has to less than 18 or

x < 18.

Deffense [45]
X2=4(5-1)
x2=4(4)
x2=16
x=4

Check: 4 squared (4 times 4) equals 16. When you square a number, you multiply the number by itself.
