The Age of Pericles was between 461 B.C and 429 B.C when Pericles overtook Athenian Government and imposed direct democracy. By expanding the government and involvement of the Athenian people, it made every male citizen take part in mass meetings for government regulations.
Up until this day, Pericles is still the longest lasting democratic leader in Greece.

During the Age of Pericles, which was 460 B.C.E to 429 B.C.E, which is exactly 31 years. Pericles was a skilled man, he withholds great leadership, which is why he ruled Athens and applied direct democracy, for he believed that even the citizens of Athens, should also be involved with the government to make better communications with each other's businesses.

Lyrx [107]

John Locke was born in 1632 and died in 1702 in England. His life spanned the same period as the English Revolution that redefined British monarchical power.

According to Locke, man lived in a natural state where there was no political or social organization. This restricted his freedom and prevented the development of any science or art.

The problem is that there was no judge, a power above the others who could monitor whether everyone is enjoying natural rights.

So, to solve this power vacuum, men will freely agree to constitute themselves in an organized political society.

Man can directly influence the political decisions of civil society, either through the exercise of direct democracy or by delegating his decision-making power to another person. This is the case with representative democracy, in which citizens elect their representatives.

For its part, the State aims to ensure the rights of men such as life, freedom and private property.

djverab [1.8K]
The correct answer is find a water route to the East

They believed that since the world is round that they could reach the east, places like China and India, if they went westwards. They didn't know that the Americas existed and many believed that the earth was either much smaller or that only a huge body of water was found in that area. This is why they believed that they had reached India when they reached the Americas.

nekit [7.7K]
I believe the example is Estaban, who was born into a family with power and is now considered part of the highest group based on his ascribed status
In caste system, the value that individual had within the society is derived from the status/occupation that they had rather than their virtues.
People who born in family with power would most likely able to obtain good occupation/status which made them palced in highest caste group.
