The Age of Pericles was between 461 B.C and 429 B.C when Pericles overtook Athenian Government and imposed direct democracy.  By expanding the government and involvement of the Athenian people, it made every male citizen take part in mass meetings for government regulations.
Up until this day, Pericles is still the longest lasting democratic leader in Greece.

During the Age of Pericles, which was 460 B.C.E to 429 B.C.E, which is exactly 31 years. Pericles was a skilled man, he withholds great leadership, which is why he ruled Athens and applied direct democracy, for he believed that even the citizens of Athens, should also be involved with the government to make better communications with each other's businesses.<span />
