I need some help asap with this. If the volume of a rectangular prism is 160 square inches, and I need to scale it down with a f

actor of 1/10, what is the new volume? I'm really confused and if someone could explain the formula or thought process along with the answer, that'd be great. But if not, just knowing the answer would be fine. Thanks! :)

I think you have to divide it by 10 so the new volume would be 16 square inches.

GIVEN:

Scale factor = 1/10

ANSWER:

V1/V2 = 1/10

160/V2 = 1/10

V2 = 1600 sq inches.

She spent 17 hours tutoring

$210 = 7 hours

$20 x 10 hours = $200

$210 + $200 = $410

Suppose the number of births that occur in a hospital can be assumed to have a Poisson distribution with parameter = the average
arsen [322]

Answer:

0.5372

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the number of births that occur in a hospital can be assumed to have a Poisson distribution with parameter = the average birth rate of 1.8 births per hour.

Let X be the no of births in the hospital per hour

X is Poisson

with mean = 1.8

the probability of observing at least two births in a given hour at the hospital

= P(X\geq 2)\\= 1-F(1)\\= 1-0.4628\\= 0.5372

the probability of observing at least two births in a given hour at the hospital = 0.5372
