Right now it is noon..... you are traveling 75 miles per hour meaning you'll move 75 miles... every hour. so you're 120 miles away so now we need to figure out the time.... to do this we already know 1 hour is 75 miles so now you can subtract one hour 120-75= 45 so 75 per hour, what would 45 be?..... so we can set up a fraction to figure out how long it takes to travel one minute.... so 60/75(the 60 is for minutes in an hour). which is .8 of a second to travel one mile so.... now you can multiply to check your work. .8*75=60 mins.... so now multiply.8*45(miles left)=36 so you'd get there at 1:36 it would take an hour and 36 mins to get to your destination going 75mph
So the first thing you do is dove the equations. Let's do the numerator equation. 8(2)-4 is simply saying 8•2-4 and i don't know if u learned this in class yet but you do multiplication and division before addition and subtraction so 8•2=16-4=12 so now 12 is our numerator. Now for the denominator, 8/4=2 so 2 is our denominator. We have 12/2 but it can be simplified to 6 because 6 goes into 12 twice and u cans check this by doing 6•2=12

OK so first I like to find what 10% is which in this case would be 1.8 and to find the other 5% you divide 1.8 by 2 which gets you .9 if you and 1.8 and .9 you get 2.7 and if you add 2.7 to 18 you get 20.7 which is your retail price
