Answer:

Option (D) is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

A function can be termed as a process from a set of x values to a set of possible y-values where each x-value relates to exactly one y-value.

In other words, a relation can only be a function there is no repetition of x-values. It means a relation can not have duplicated inputs.

Given the sets

Set A: (5,2), (4, 3), (3, 4), (2,5)

Set B: (-1,-6), (0, 2), (1, 2), (3, 6)

Set C: (2, 1), (4, 2), (2, 3), (8,4)

It is clear that sets A and B represent the function because, in these sets, each x-value relates to exactly one y-value. In other words, there are no duplicated inputs.

But, set C has duplicated inputs i.e. x = 2 is repeated twice, and a function can not have a repeated input.

Therefore, we conclude that set A and set B represent a function.

Thus, option (D) is correct.

Save Work out the size of angle AED.<br> b) Work out x
Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

x = 10°

Step-by-step explanation:

a). Since, opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral are supplementary angles"

   Therefore, in cyclic quadrilateral ABDE,

   m∠ABD + m∠AED = 180°

   110° + m∠AED = 180°

   m∠AED = 180° - 110°

                 = 70°

b). AD = ED [Given]

   m∠EAD = m∠AED [Since, opposite angles of equal sides are equal in measure]

   m∠EAD = m∠AED = 70°

   By triangle sum theorem in ΔABD,

   m∠BAD + m∠ABD + m∠ADB = 180°

   m∠BAD + 110° + 40° = 180°

   m∠BAD = 180 - 150

                 = 30°

    m∠AEB = m∠AED + m∠DAB [By angles addition postulate]

    m∠AEB = 70° + 30°

                  = 100°

    By triangle sum theorem in the large triangle,

    x° + m∠AEB + m∠EAB = 180°

    x° + 100° + 70° = 180°

    x = 180 - 170

    x = 10°

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Like terms have same variable with same power. Combine like terms

153y³ + 132y² + 6y - 5 - 3y³  - 5y² +4y - 2

= <u>153y³ - 3y³</u>   + 132y² - 5y² + 6y + 4y <u> -5 - 2</u>

= <u>150y³</u> + 127y²  + 10y<u> - 7</u>

Can someone please help me with this question?
madam [21]
D. One reason, The others questions don't add up. Reason being, the perimeter of the garden is 4x+60, all of the other questions don't make up for that answer.
(I also can't read D, so I'm just assuming now.)
