Answer:

The management of a restaurant with locations all over the country has developed a new hamburger that researchers believe will s
Sliva [168]

Using sampling concepts, it is found that the best way to perform a randomized experiment with the goal of determining if this new hamburger will sell better than the hamburger that is currently sold is as follows:

Randomly select 40 restaurants, let each one decide if it wants to sell the new hamburger, and compare sales in those restaurants to sales in the restaurants that chose not to sell the new hamburger.

What is sampling?

It is is a common statistics practice, when we want to study something from a population, we find a sample of this population.

For example:

I want to estimate the proportion of New York state residents who are Buffalo Bills fans. So i ask, lets say, 1000 randomly selected New York state residents whether they are Buffalo Bills fans, and expand this to the entire population of New York State residents.

In this problem, a sample of randomly selected restaurants should be taken to sell the new hamburger, and then be compared with the ones who sell the old hamburger to see if sales increased, hence the correct option is:

Randomly select 40 restaurants, let each one decide if it wants to sell the new hamburger, and compare sales in those restaurants to sales in the restaurants that chose not to sell the new hamburger.

She could use anything, but it would have to consist of 3:12, so maybe like 3 flowers and 12 beads? As long as it is 3 and 12 of something, she is fine.

Okay that it 5^4x-13=125
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

x=86250

Step-by-step explanation:

Rearrange:

Rearrange the equation by subtracting what is to the right of the equal sign from both sides of the equation :

                    (1/5)^4*x-13-(125)=0

Step by step solution :

STEP

1

:

           1

Simplify —

           5

Equation at the end of step

1

:

    1

(((—)4) • x) - 13) - 125 = 0

    5

STEP

2

:

Equation at the end of step

2

:

    1

((—— • x) - 13) - 125 = 0

   54

STEP

3

:

Rewriting the whole as an Equivalent Fraction

3.1 Subtracting a whole from a fraction

Rewrite the whole as a fraction using 625 as the denominator :

         13 13 • 625

   13 =  ——  =  ————————

         1 625

Equivalent fraction : The fraction thus generated looks different but has the same value as the whole

Common denominator : The equivalent fraction and the other fraction involved in the calculation share the same denominator

Adding fractions that have a common denominator :

3.2 Adding up the two equivalent fractions

Add the two equivalent fractions which now have a common denominator

Combine the numerators together, put the sum or difference over the common denominator then reduce to lowest terms if possible:

x - (13 • 625) x - 8125

—————————————— = ————————

     625 625

Equation at the end of step

3

:

(x - 8125)

—————————— - 125 = 0

    625

STEP

4

:

Rewriting the whole as an Equivalent Fraction :

4.1 Subtracting a whole from a fraction

Rewrite the whole as a fraction using 625 as the denominator :

          125 125 • 625

   125 =  ———  =  —————————

           1 625

Adding fractions that have a common denominator :

4.2 Adding up the two equivalent fractions

(x-8125) - (125 • 625) x - 86250

—————————————————————— = —————————

         625 625

Equation at the end of step

4

:

x - 86250

————————— = 0

    625

STEP

5

:

When a fraction equals zero :

5.1 When a fraction equals zero ...

Where a fraction equals zero, its numerator, the part which is above the fraction line, must equal zero.

Now,to get rid of the denominator, Tiger multiplys both sides of the equation by the denominator.

Here's how:

x-86250

——————— • 625 = 0 • 625

   625

Now, on the left hand side, the 625 cancels out the denominator, while, on the right hand side, zero times anything is still zero.

The equation now takes the shape :

  x-86250 = 0

Solving a Single Variable Equation:

5.2 Solve : x-86250 = 0

Add 86250 to both sides of the equation :

                     x = 86250

One solution was found :

x = 86250

If w = 2, x = 3, y = 5, and z = 6 then evaluate the expression: z/2
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

To evaluate the expression, we have to substitute the variable in the expression, z, for its stated value. Given that z = 6, substitute 6 for the z in the expression and solve:

\frac{z}{2} \\= \frac{6}{2} \\= 3

Thus, the answer is 3.
