Answer:

3/7 represents fraction of Josies invitation which are animal themed.

Step-by-step explanation:

For simplification purpose lets assume total number of invitations Joise made equal to x.

given that out of total cards made by Joise  , 15/21 are children party invitation.

⇒ number of children's party invitation = 15/21 of x = 15x/21.

Also given that out of children's party invitation  , 3/5 are animal themed.

⇒number of animal themed invitation = 3/5 of number of children's party invitation =  3/5×15x/21 = 45x/105=3x/7

so fraction of josie's invitations which are animal themed = number of animal themed invitation ÷ total number of invitations Joise made

= 3x/7 ÷ x = 3/7

hence 3/7 represents fraction of josies invitation which are animal themed.

you can also directly solve it by multiplying fraction of children's party and given fraction of animal themed that is 15/21 × 3/5 = 3/7

Suppose that in a random selection of 100 colored candies, 26% of them are blue. The candy company claims that the percentage
quester [9]

Answer:  a) -0.2252, b) 0.8219

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Sample size n = 100

Probability that candies are blue = p= 0.26

Probability that company claims that it is blue candy = P = 0.27

So, Q = 1-P= 1-0.27 = 0.73

So, Null hypothesis : H_0:p=P

Alternate hypothesis : H_1:p\neq P

So, the test statistic would be

z=\dfrac{p-P}{\sqrt{\dfrac{P.Q}{n}}}\\\\z=\dfrac{0.26-0.27}{\sqrt{\dfrac{0.27\times 0.73}{100}}}\\\\z=-0.2252

Since α = 0.05

So, critical value of z = 1.96

p-value = P(Z>Z(calculated)

Using the excel function , we get that

P(z>0.2252)\\\\=2\times 0.410.911845\\\\=0.8219

Hence, a) -0.2252, b) 0.8219

Multiplying mixed numbers and whole numbers 1 1/2 x 2/1 =
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer: 3

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Convert the mixed number to fraction:

- Multiply the denominator of the fraction by the whole number.

- Add the product obtained and the numerator of the fraction.

- Write the sum obtained as the numerator and rewrite the original denominator of the fraction.

Then:

1\ 1/2=\frac{(1)(2)+1}{2}=\frac{3}{2}

2. Multiply the numerators.

3. Multiply the denominator.

4. Reduce the fraction.

Then:

(\frac{3}{2})(\frac{2}{1})=\frac{6}{2}=3

A long solenoid with radius r = 7 cm and n = 3,170 turns/m carries a current i = 6. 7 a. What is the magnitude of the magnetic f
kondaur [170]

The magnitude of the magnetic field in the central area inside the solenoid, in T is 0.0267 T

<h3>Magnetic field inside solenoid</h3>

The magnetic field inside the central area of the solenoid is given by B = μ₀ni where

  • μ₀ = permeability of free space = 4π × 10⁻⁷ Tm/A,
  • n = number of turns per unit length = 3,170 turns/m and
  • i = current in solenoid = 6.7 A

Since B = μ₀ni

Substituting the values of the variables into the equation, we have

B = μ₀ni

B = 4π × 10⁻⁷ Tm/A × 3,170 turns/m × 6.7 A

B = 4π × 10⁻⁷ Tm/A × 21239 A-turns/m

B = 84956π × 10⁻⁷ T

B = 266897.15 × 10⁻⁷ T

B = 0.026689715 T

B ≅ 0.0267 T

So, the magnitude of the magnetic field in the central area inside the solenoid, in T is 0.0267 T

Which is the correct answers? (more than one)
viktelen [127]

B True because both graphs approaches x=0 but never touches it

E True if you just graph it out you can see that graph of g is going down and the graph of x is going up

A false because neither of the equations have a y intercept they have asymptote of x=0

C false because it is also a reflection across the x axis

D incorrect is because they both have domain {0<x<♾}

Hope this helped!
